Madhya Pradesh to have IT Cadre, Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya Inspects Progress of Country's Uniqe Data Centre Building, directs to Vomplete Building within a Month.
Minister for Industries and Information Technology Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya has said that an Information Technology (I.T.) cadre is being created in Madhya Pradesh to facilitate availability of competent and trained IT personnel in all the departments. This would also help improve the quality of e-Governance related works and Madhya Pradesh would soon become a byword for excellence in e-Governance.
Shri Vijaywargiya visited the under-construction Data Centre building, a most unique and best equipped in the country, and inspected the equipments and other arrangements there. He directed to complete the building within a month. The Minister said that no other state of the country has such a magnificent and beautiful data centre building. Data of different departments would be preserved in the centre. Private bodies would also be permitted to use this facility in future. He said that Madhya Pradesh has carved a distinct identiry in the field of e-Governance and would soon emerge as a byword for excellence in e-Governance. Major IT groups are being invited to Madhya Pradesh that would further boost e-Governance activities in the state, he added.
It would be provided with data connectivity from four internet and bandwidth service providers including BSNL, Airtell, Reliance and Tata Indicom. The state government's own data centre will be located in the building. It will have 23 servers and 43 server racks. Special arrangements have been made for environment preservation and most efficient use of water. A third part audit will be done by M/s Deolite which would be evaluated by STQC.
