World Bank Governance experts hold Discussions with Information Technology Minister Shri. Kailash Vijaywargiya, Impressed by works carried out in Madhya Pradesh.
A delegation of World Bank governance experts called on Information Technology Minister Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya here today. Led by senior governance expert Sushri Grace Morgan, the team lauded works done to promote e-governance in Madhya Pradesh. Secretary Information Technology and Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Hari Ranjan Rao was also present on the occasion.
Information Technology Minister Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya gave detailed information to the delegation regarding e-governance and information technology in the interest of people. Shri Vijaywargiya informed that plans are afoot in the state to propagate e-education at primary level. Besides, arrangements are being made for tele-medicine system.
Shri Vijaywargiya said that best use of information technology is being ensured in the state for increasing government and administration's efficiency and accelerating pace of works. As a result, Madhya Pradesh is among five states where information technology is used in the best manner. He also held discussions on World Bank's assistance for information technology, e-education, tele-medicine and e-governance sectors.
The World Bank experts' team comprised Public Sector Management expert Shri Ervin Eriadharam, Sector Manager, South Asia Public Sector Shri Tony Verhijen, Governance Advisor Shri Ronald Lome, Shri Suresh Gumalam and Shri Satyendra Prasad.
