Common Service Centers
A Common Service Centres (CSC) scheme is one of the mission mode projects under the Digital India Programme. CSC in short, is envisaged as a medium to improve the living standard of common man in the rural parts, by enabling electronic delivery of information, knowledge, skills and services which they need the most CSC is expected to reduce the time and cost involved in obtaining some of rural services such as agri/farm inputs & prices, weather forecast, public grievance redressal, government to citizen information & services etc.
The CSC is designed as a one-stop-centre for government related services along with a bouquet of several business related services. A beneficiary of the CSC will be able to enjoy a wide variety of services at a nominal cost, in his village. Common Services Centres can offer a large basket of services through e-medium such as public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education and agriculture services. It also host of B2C services to citizens in rural and remote areas of the country.
It is a pan-India network catering to regional, geographic, linguistic and cultural diversity of the country, thus enabling the Government’s mandate of a socially, financially and digitally inclusive society. In Madhya Pradesh about 56000+ CSCs are established out of which about 25000 are transactional which means the CSCs which have done at least 01 transaction in last one month. On an average the total transactions per month of CSCs are 1.5 to 2.0 Lakhs.
MP Online Limited took the opportunity of conceptualizing the e-Governance initiative of Government of Madhya Pradesh, by designing a unique portal to serve various Government Departments and to make their services reach at the doorstep of the common man.
MP Online Ltd, is a Joint venture company between the Government of Madhya Pradesh and TATA Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) which frequently develops and operates the official portal for the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Set up in the year July 2006, till date have reached almost all the corners of Madhya Pradesh providing wide range of services.
MP Online has presence in all 51 districts, over 350+ tehsils of Madhya Pradesh delivering its services through 36000+ KIOSK. MP Online provides plethora of services for various government departments related to admission into various educational boards, online assessment for recruitment, counselling for admission into various colleges, bill payments, reservation for forest excursion booking, donation for religious services and admission process into various universities. The average transactions per month of MP Online Kiosks are about 23 Lakhs.
